I have been involved with computers since about 1976. A lot has changed. It has been an interesting journey.
I hold an MCSA from Microsoft, a GCWN from GIAC, and am working on my CCNA from Cisco.
I am attending Florida State (Go, Seminoles!) in the MS-MIS (Management Information Systems) graduate program with a target date of 8/2010.
My day job is Network Administrator in local government. I work with the management team in a department of 12 IT specialists. Our Town has a population of 50,000 and we provide water utilities, building licensing and inspection functions, planning & zoning, community services, recreational programs, and a nationally accredited police department among other services. We support them all and our citizens by providing solutions and support for all.
I am currently involved in the Linux and Open Source initiative as well as the Green initiative for our organization.
